Brainiac Finance plans to offer both Staking and Yield Farming opportunities as part of Brainiac Farms from Day 1 of the protocol. Both pools & farms will be available within a few hours of IDO completion, and you can start using them to earn more $BRN (Brain) rewards.

The two types of staking are:

What is lock and how does it help?

Locking allows the protocol to keep whales and big players locked into the system to allow for increased protocol stability, both TVL and price-wise. If a user chooses to stake in a pool with a locking mechanism, they’ll be rewarded with a higher APR along with a caveat: an early exit penalty of 40%.

This fear of exit penalty combined with the incentive of high APR introduces a new game-like dynamic to the protocol where all parties who keep protocol’s stability and health in mind 🧠 while performing actions benefit.

Where does the exit penalty go?

All exit penalties are automatically burned by being sent to a NULL address 🔥 This means as people exit early, the $BRN supply reduces via burning mechanics to further enhance the long term stability of the protocol 🔥

This unique feature will ensure the supply of $BRN keeps on decreasing as users choose to act against the protocol. While at the same time further rewarding the users who benefit the protocol by locking!
